The Dream
Andy Schindling had one dream as a kid: to play for the Baltimore Orioles. He was a natural talent, and he made it. Drafted into their minor league team after a standout play, Andy reached what most only dream of.

Once a minor league pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles, Andy knows firsthand the importance of purpose and direction.
Especially during formative years, it's important to know that challenges and mistakes, whether they're academic or social, don't need to define your future.
Driven by a passion for youth and a desire to make a difference in his community, Andy is now dedicated to helping young people find their paths and see past the “limitations” placed on them by others.
Our Journey
2018 to today.
The Beginning
TCP was founded in Northern Anne Arundel County with a vision to help underserved youth thrive regardless of economic or social backgrounds. What started as a passion project became a purpose-driven mission.
First School Partnerships
TCP established its first partnerships with local elementary schools, bringing in-school mentoring programs directly to the students who needed them most.
Adapting Through Adversity
When the world changed, TCP pivoted to continue serving youth through creative program delivery, proving that commitment to kids doesn't stop when circumstances get difficult.
After-School Expansion
TCP launched expanded after-school programs, creating safe spaces for kids to learn, grow, and connect with mentors beyond the classroom walls.
Service Learning & Leadership
New service-learning initiatives gave youth hands-on experience in community leadership, helping them see themselves as agents of change in their own neighborhoods.
Community Projects & Growth
Young leaders took on community projects of their own, from garden initiatives to neighborhood service. TCP's reach grew to serve over 1,000 youth across northern Anne Arundel County.
Recognition & New Horizons
TCP gained recognition as a leading youth empowerment organization in Maryland, expanding its board of directors and deepening partnerships with schools and community organizations.
Building the Future
With a growing team and strengthened mission, TCP continues to expand its impact, reaching more schools and creating new pathways for youth leadership development.
“Students one day, are going to be part of the community. A lot of students that don't go to college end up staying in the community too, so TCP being able to teach these real-life values like teamwork, understanding, passion, collaboration, friendship, and help kids apply them later on in life, that helps out the community. Now, and for the future.
