5th Annual Golf Tournament a SUCCESS!

For the 6th consecutive year, the TCP Charity Golf Tournament hit a new fundraising record!

With so much competition from other golf outings and fundraisers occurring the week of our tournament and in the month of September, we were unsure of how things would turn out as the last week of August approached. Then we got thrown a curveball by the 2 inches or so of rain we got the morning of the tournament. So, to say we were a little worried about how many golfers would show up and stick it out would be an understatement.

In response, we did what we do best. Once the rain slowed down and after a one-hour delay, we made the necessary adjustments and hit the curveball thrown at us out of the park.

When the day commenced, and the golfers relaxed over a great meal provided by Oscar’s Alehouse East (Pasadena), winners were announced, raffle baskets were distributed, and reality sunk in. Through all the rain and one-hour delay, we had 114 golfers finish the round and collected over $30,000 to support underserved youth in Brooklyn Park.

Thanks to our Diamond Sponsors Andy & Leslie Price and Wells Fargo Advisors (Brad Rude), our loyal support base of golfers, and our fabulous golf committee – Teresa Medley, Rose Witney, Marianne Bishoff, and Stu Schmidt – the 6th Annual TCP Golf Tournament produced our best tournament yet. Setting a new for the number of golfers who played and the amount of money raised.

Thank you to all the businesses that sponsored our tournament and the players who registered and played. The outcome of this year’s tournament propels us to serve over 70 youth in the Brooklyn Park community during and after school.
